Lisa of Blackpink's New Icy-Blue Balayage Is Major Winter Hair-Color Inspiration

I've never seen Frozen before, but the beloved animated movie popped into my head the first time I saw Lisa's new dye job. On Thursday, the Blackpink member revealed her newly blonde hair with baby-blue streaks — and I dare you not to get Elsa vibes from its iciness.

For most of 2018, Lisa's hair was a light copper hue, but she welcomed the new year by lightening it up with an ashy blonde shade. (However, fans have pointed out that her hair has more of a honey tone, depending on the lighting.) In addition to creating dimension with blonde highlights, Lisa also added a pastel-blue color to her balayage.

Lisa experimented with a similar look when she had a lob back in 2017. This time around, her hair falls down to her waist, making the blue-and-blonde combo even more ethereal. I also respect that her blunt bangs have remained a consistent part of her hairstyle two years later.

At a press conference in her hometown of Bangkok, Lisa took cues from Lady Gaga's 2019 Golden Globes look and coordinated her new blue hair with a frilly shirt in the same shade.

If you needed any winter hair inspo, let the K-pop star's new look be it. Lisa's silvery blue streaks are an unexpected, low-key way to try out rainbow hair. Plus, you get to try two major 2019 hair-color trends at the same time: faded pastel and antique gold. With Blackpink's Coachella appearance and world tour coming up, I look forward to seeing how she changes up her hair color for each occasion. Maybe she'll try Living Coral or Hollywood Opal in keeping with other 2019 hair-color trends.
