Beauty Brand Lipslut Unveiled a 'F**** Kavanaugh' Lipstick

Have you been venting frustration over the Senate Judiciary Committee's hearings about Supreme Court hopeful Brett Kavanaugh over the past week? Thanks to social justice beauty brand Lipslut, your lipstick can now say the same thing as your lips. The brand has created a new lipstick specifically to channel the rage regarding Kavanaugh, and the Senate's response to the sexual assault allegations levied against him.

As the brand has done with past products,100% of proceeds from the $19.95 lipstick will go toward supporting anti–sexual assault organizations. According to a press release, Lipslut plans to donate funds to RAINN, NO MORE, National Alliance to End Sexual Violence, and End the Backlog. The fundraiser will fun from Monday, October 1, through Sunday, October 7 — after that, 50% of proceeds will go to the same charities.

Lipslut was founded by then-college student Katie Sones after the 2016 presidential election. In the almost two years since launching the brand, Lipslut has created beauty products that react to our cultural moments — and there have been plenty of them to seize on. Their "F*ck Trump" lipstick is a matte nude pink that has raised over $100,000 to support immigrant families. "F*ck Hollywood," an "outspoken red" shade, rose out of the #MeToo movement in January 2018 and donated 50% of proceeds to survivors of sexual assault.

F*ck Kavanaugh, meanwhile, is a matte liquid lipstick in, as the website describes, "a cool, calm, and collected deep red." We can't promise that changing your lipstick color will make you feel better right now, but there is something deeply cathartic about carrying around a classic icon of femininity like a red lipstick emblazoned with the words "F*ck Kavanaugh." If the idea of using beauty to speak out appeals to you, find this judicial shade here.
