This Lip Treatment Comes in the Coolest Tube (Oh, and It Actually Works)

As someone who is lip balm obsessed, I've tried everything—from good ol' Chapstick to Glossier's Balm Dotcom—to help soothe my permanently chapped lips. Is it just me, or do some of the tried-and-true formulas leave your lips feeling even drier than before? Convinced it was a ploy to get me to buy more and more lip balm (it totally worked), I ditched my moisturizing arsenal in favor of coconut oil, since I knew there were no potentially drying additives in it. The problem: I can't exactly tote around a giant jar of coconut oil everywhere I go.

That's when Kosas's new capsule collection, Kosasport, came onto my radar. I already love the brand for its non-toxic, innovative ingredients like mango seed butter and green tea seed oil (big clean beauty fan over here), so I was eager to try out any new products I could get my hands on. And just like that, LipFuel came across my desk.

The first thing I noticed is the shape of the tube—it's more oval than round, and when held horizontally, it swipes across lips in one swift movement. Then there's the three sheer colors: warm tan, cool pink and clear. I take a less-is-more approach to beauty, so I naturally gravitated toward the un-tinted shade. It's smooth, hydrating and super cooling, thanks to soothing vitamin E, plumping hyaluronic acid and wild mint. The best part: My lips stayed hydrated for hours without reapplying (I'll attribute that to the trio of camellia seed, grape seed and avocado oils).

Considering it's much easier to carry than a three-pound glass jar of coconut oil and less than $20, I've stashed one in just about every bag, so I'm never without it. The only thing missing? An SPF version to bring to the beach.
