A Swiss town experienced unusual weather last week: chocolate snow.

Last Friday morning, a Lindt & Spruengli chocolate factory in Olten, Switzerland experienced a malfunction resulting in a sweet surprise. According to The Guardian, the company confirmed that there was a minor defect in the cooling ventilation in an area making roasted cocoa nibs, which are fragments of crushed cocoa beans.

Strong winds helped spread the cocoa all over town, even lightly dusting a car, as photos shared on social media show.

Lindt Chocolate UK addressed the incident on Twitter, quipping, “Whoops! We made it snow chocolate dust around our factory in Switzerland.”

Fortunately, nobody seems to be complaining, though Lindt & Spruengli have reportedly offered to pay for any clean-up resulting from the incident.

Yahoo Life has reached out to Lindt & Spruengli for comment but has not yet received a response.
