  • Lindsie Chrisley clapped back at an Instagram DM that joked about her estranged father Todd Chrisley's coronavirus diagnosis.

  • Todd recently opened up about being hospitalized following his diagnosis of COVID-19, saying it was the sickest he's ever been.

  • Lindsie called the troll's message "disgusting" and said she's received similar ones about her dad's health.

Although Lindsie Chrisley had a falling out with her estranged father, Todd Chrisley, the Chrisley Knows Best star defended him after a troll made a comment about his recent coronavirus diagnosis on Instagram.

Lindsie shared a screenshot of a message sent to her Direct Messages that read, "Hi Lindsie! Did you see your dad has Covid? I guess the good guys really do win in the end."

The reality star posted the screenshot of the message to her Instagram Story and made it clear that she was not cool with anyone slamming her dad. "The audacity of some people blows my mind. This is disgusting. My inbox is flooding with similar messages & I'm not here for it. Get it right or get off my page," she wrote.

In an interview with TMZ, Lindsie said she found out about Todd's COVID-19 diagnosis on Instagram. Although she defended her dad, she said that she hasn't had any contact with Todd. Lindsie and Todd had a public falling out in 2019, after she accused him of sex tape extortion.

"I don't think you re-evaluate. What happened, happened, so I think the circumstances of corona doesn't change what did happen," she told the outlet of her relationship with Todd. "However it did make me very, very upset that he had something that could have potentially killed him. So that did make me very sad, but my emotions are in the proper place and so I just hope that he gets well and nobody else in their household gets it."

Todd, who recently opened up about his coronavirus experience on his podcast Chrisley Confessions, said he was hospitalized for treatment. "It has been the sickest that I have ever been in the 52 years I've been on this earth. I cannot ever tell you a time in my life where I have ever been as sick as what I had been with the coronavirus," he said.

While he's still recovering at home, Todd said he's still "not clicking on all cylinders" and operating at "about 70 to 75 percent."

"This has been a life-altering experience for me. I know it's been a life-altering experience for everyone in my family," he explained. "I think that what it has taught me is to look around and see the things that truly, truly matter—and what matters is health. You can have all the money in the world but if you don’t have your health, you have nothing. It's been a tough, tough three weeks."

Todd's wife Julie Chrisley emphasized the importance of taking COVID-19 seriously. "If you are doubting or have not been affected by corona personally … you need to know that this is serious. There are people who are dying and we have to take it seriously," she said.
