As we wait for news of Tiger Woods's injuries after he was involved in a serious car crash on February 23, his former girlfriend and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn says she is praying for his health and safety.

“Praying for TW right now,” the gold medalist wrote on Twitter, accompanied by a prayer-hands emoji. Her sentiment came just hours after the world learned that golf legend Woods had been injured in a single-vehicle rollover just earlier that morning. Per a statement from the L.A. County Sheriff office, the vehicle sustained major damage, requiring rescuers to use a tool called the jaws of life to remove Woods from the car. He was then taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Woods was reportedly in California for a shoot with GolfDigest. There were no other vehicles involved in the accident; Woods was the driver and sole occupant of his car, according to authorities.

Vonn and Woods dated for three years, ending in a mutual breakup in 2015. Per Page Six, they remained friendly; when Woods had a career upswing, Vonn was supportive.

In a statement to People, reps for the golfer said that he “suffered multiple leg injuries. He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support.” Meanwhile, CBS Sports anchor Joe Musso's intel indicates that the injuries are “non life-threatening.”

Many other athletes expressed their well-wishes online. Fellow golfer Justin Rose praised Woods's perseverance, writing, “We know how tough you are, we’ve seen it a hundred times. Hoping and praying you’re ok my friend.”

We will update this post as more information becomes available about Tiger Woods.
