Lily Collins is known to go all out with her Met Gala beauty looks, and this year was no exception. In 2013 debuted punk blue hair and wolf-like extended brows at the event, and last year she wore a mesh mask over her Audrey Hepburn bangs – but this year was her best look yet. Her romantic Maison Valentino gown cutout gown led to an exciting beauty opportunity – a vertical white line extending from her hairline to her rib cage. Celebrity makeup artist Molly R Stern is the mind behind the futuristic centerline, and used Lancome products on the actress. It pulled together her entire look in this year’s Manus x Machina theme. And while you probably won’t be wearing a white line down your own face any time soon, her Grecian hairstyle is gorgeous and perfect for any length.

Celebrity hairstylist Miki Loiacono was inspired by the dress and knew just what to do to make Lily look like her beautiful self. “"Taking cues from the Valentino collection, I wanted to keep Lily looking fresh and modern,” Loiacono told Yahoo Beauty. “Nothing was too stereotypical, or too decadent. The look we achieved was sophisticated, yet perfectly undone to match her youthful nature. “ He was inspired by Grecian style, flowing silhouettes, and classic beauty to create a romantic look that echoed her gown with soft waves that frame the face and a messy texture in the back. He started the look on clean hair, washing with Essential DEDE Shampoo and Davines Essential DEDE Conditioner to make the hair look weightless. He spritzed Davines Essential DEDE Hair Mist on damp hair to keep it looking soft and conditioned throughout the night, and followed with Davines More Inside This Is A Volumizing Mousse on the roots. He then protected the hair from heat with Davines Your Hair Assistant Blowdry Primer, sprayed from root to tip, then used a medium sized brush to blow out the hair. He then applied Davines More Inside This Is An Invisible Serum to tame frizz and seal the shaft of the hair. He created soft waves around the face with a one-inch curling iron, followed by Davines More Inside This Is A Dry Texturizer on the ends. He sealed the look with Davines More Inside This Is A Medium Hairspray – and Lily was red carpet ready, but still fuss-free.
