Lilly Singh is just a few months away from making television history. On Thursday, July 25, Singh announced the release date of her upcoming late-night television series, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, which is slated to debut this September.

"A Little Late with Lilly Singh comes to @nbc on September 16th. Save the date. Tell a friend," she wrote on Twitter. The upcoming NBC series will make the YouTuber the first woman to host a late-night show among the four major broadcast networks. A Little Late with Lilly Singh will run for a half-hour, taking over the 1:35 A.M time slot previously held by Last Call with Carson Daly, which aired its final episode on May 24, 2019.

Singh will feature in-studio interviews on her show, as well as produce and star in pre-taped comedy sketches.

"I'm literally counting down the days until the premiere. It's 53," Singh told The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm thrilled to be collaborating with this all-star team of writers as we work to bring a new, authentic perspective to late night."

Singh's writer room will be filled with late-night vets, including Sean O'Connor (The Late Late Show With James Corden), Marina Cockenberg (The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon), John Irwin, whose background includes Late Night With Conan O’Brien and MadTV, and more.

"I've been a huge fan of Lilly for many years, and her impact in media is truly remarkable," Irwin added. "She brings a fresh perspective to the late night space that is a breath of fresh air."
