Sometimes you just need some good escapism, and it looks like Cara Delevingne and Jaden Smith's new film, Life In A Year, is on hand to offer exactly that. The pair star opposite each other in a new YA movie, which sounds along the lines of John Green's A Fault In Our Stars (so lots of sniffling while you watch, then.)

What is Life In A Year about?
Ambitious 17-year-old high school student Daryn falls in love with terminally ill Isabelle, his polar opposite in pretty much all ways. The pair begin a rollercoaster romance in New York City, with Daryn attempting to make Isabelle's last weeks the best they can possibly be. Told you it would make you cry.
Who does Life In A Year star?
Jaden Smith will play Daryn, opposite Cara Delevingne as Isabelle. Chris D'Elia will play Phil, while Cuba Gooding Jr. plays Xavier, Daryn's dad. Will Smith is the executive producer, and the project was directed by Mitja Okorn.
In the film, Isabelle's character has a shaved head from cancer treatment - something which Cara Delevingne says she did in real life to feel authentic to the role. "I wanted to do as much as I could to do it authentically as much as I could," she told Entertainment Weekly.
"And during the whole process I actually got quite sick. I think that's the power of the mind; I was so wrapped up in every day thinking about life and death.
"I'm not a method actor but it really became all-encompassing; I had no hair, going to these hospitals all the time, it was a lot and I felt quite ill. I cried a lot and I felt depressed during the whole thing. It felt quite bleak but I still wanted to thrive and be on fire."

When is Life In A Year released?
The film will be released on 27th November on Amazon Prime.
