Liam Hemsworth Looks Just Like His Father in His Parents’ Wedding Photo
Actor Liam Hemsworth celebrated his father’s birthday this week by sharing a photo of his parents on their wedding day—and fans noticed an uncanny resemblance between father and son in the throwback snap.
The buzzed-about image shows the Hemsworth family patriarch, Craig Hemsworth, cutting into the cake with the brood’s beloved matriarch, Leonie. “Happy birthday to my beautiful mum!” Liam captioned the pic on Instagram. “Not sure what dads doin here but I Love u mum you’re the best! Dad you’re an idiot.”
The actor’s father looks like an identical mix between the older Hemsworth brother, Thor superstar Chris Hemsworth, and the youngest, Liam.

Meanwhile, it’s speculated that Liam and his fiancee, Miley Cyrus, will soon be cutting into their own wedding cake (if they haven’t already done so, that is). The couple, who rekindled their romance in early 2016, have recently stepped out wearing bands on their ring fingers, though both parties have been quick to dispel any confirmation of a marriage.
Instead, they’re currently building their lives together after a brief separation from 2013 to 2016. Cyrus has since devoted her latest single, “Malibu,” to her beau, further explaining the meaning behind the song in a recent interview. “When Liam—he’s my boyfriend now—and I broke up for a minute, he wanted to get away from me,” Cyrus told Howard Stern last month. “He wanted to go to Malibu, and bought this house… He didn’t know it was the house I recorded my first album in!”
“So now that we’re back together, my song ‘Malibu’ is about the house that I live in, in Malibu, which is where I recorded my first album,” Cyrus added.
