Liam Gallagher to invite brother Noel to upcoming wedding - after being told he had to by his mum

Liam Gallagher has revealed he will invite estranged brother Noel to upcoming third wedding - after mum Peggy told him he had to.

The former Oasis rockers have a famously fractious relationship - and have not been on speaking terms since the Brit Pop band split in 2009.

But a reconciliation could be on the cards, if the older Gallagher brother accepts Liam’s “olive branch”.

In an interview with the Sunday Mirror, Gallagher said of his upcoming marriage to manager and long-term girlfriend Debbie Gwyther: “Third time lucky.

“I’m ready to do it again. I’m buzzing more than her. This one’s going to be a big thing. She is top, man. She is my little Yoko.”

Discussing how he proposed while on holiday in Italy, Gallagher said: “We’d been talking about it for ages and Debbie was going, ‘I’m not too sure, I can’t be a***d’.

"The sun was coming down, we were having a drink and I went, ‘Look, shall we do it?’

“And she’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah, course’. I told my mam and me kids, she told her family, and everyone was buzzing.”

Gallagher has previously been married to actress Patsy Kensit, and former All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, and mum Peggy has offered him some sage advice: “Don’t be f***ing this one up.”

He said: “My mam gets on really well with Debbie. She’s always been there. Every mum has their son’s back, but she’s given me a b*****king many times.

“She says, ‘Look, you’re a bit of a d***’, with the way I have treated people. She’s not all pro Liam.”

And Peggy also says Liam is to invite older brother Noel to the wedding. He explained: “My mam is like, ‘You’ve got to invite him’.

“And I will. They’ll get a little envelope through the door.

“They won’t come… but you never know – like I said before, they go to the opening of anything so as soon as they open it, it’ll be like, ‘Come on Noel, get your Dermot O’Leary outfit on, we’re going out’.

“Mam thinks Noel needs a f***ing clip. She says we’re as bad as each other, but she knows I’ve put olive branches out.”
