Why is Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell silent about the Republican agenda ahead, should Republicans regain power in Congress? Why is Mitch mad at National Republican Senatorial campaign leader Rick Scott for revealing his “11 Point Plan”?

Thirsty for power and afraid that voters will cringe at Scott’s plan, Mitch hopes to hide the Republican agenda until after November. Mitch fears that Americans will find Scott’s plan to raise income taxes on the bottom 50 percent of Americans offensive while the rich pay their current rate. Also offensive to voters would be Scott’s plan to terminate Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. This Republican plan would end these essential programs unless Congress specifically chose to re-enact them.

With an election on the horizon, Republican lawmakers are only whispering their support for Scott’s plan. Yet, many have given consent to such radical, extreme measures.

Targeting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid for elimination is an unconscionable move by Republicans. Millions of seniors rely on these Democratic programs for survival. Social Security and Medicare are earned benefits paid by American workers while employed and matched 100 percent by their employers.

Open your eyes, voters! Reject the radical GOP! Don’t be distracted by their phony culture wars! If the Republicans regain power in November, they plan to tax working families and spare the rich. Republicans plan to strip seniors of benefits which they have earned!
