Let Rihanna and Julia Roberts Show You How to Wear the Same Gucci Dress Two Very Different Ways
Rihanna is practically the poster girl for the #FreeTheNipple movement. So spotting her out on any given day in a sheer dress sans bra, at this point, is pretty much a non-story. Not to mention, when you attend a red carpet in a completely see-through Swarovski-encrusted gown with simply a thong underneath, you’ve raised the bar for surprising people to insurmountable heights. Unless, that is, when Ri decides to wear a breast-baring ensemble that happens to be the exact same dress worn by Julia Roberts. There’s two names we bet you never thought you’d hear in the same sentence.
Of course, the two women styled the dress in polar opposite ways. But the fact that a Gucci dress from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection found its way onto these two stylistically disparate ladies seems like testament to the overnight revival and universal popularity of the brand under the leadership of Alessandro Michele and his quirky vision for the house’s future.

Rihanna wore her version of the green lace dress while out in NYC with only a body chain and a pair of black underwear underneath, accessorizing with a typically futuristic pair of chunky lace-up heels and metallic silver bag. Julia, on the other hand, fully lined the look she wore to present at the InStyle Awards in October, keeping things simple with a pair of black Gucci loafer pumps and black square glasses.
Is anyone else inexplicably wishing for these two ladies to switch wardrobes for a week now? We’d even settle for just seeing Roberts rock Riri’s denim chap boots.
