Leonardo DiCaprio Flew an Eyebrow Artist in From Australia for the Oscars

Climate-change advocate Leonardo DiCaprio apparently has a cheat day when it comes to worrying about his carbon footprint: Oscar night. According to The Independent, DiCaprio flew in celebrity eyebrow artist Sharon-Lee Hamilton, because there are no stray hairs allowed on the red carpet.

Hamilton, who owns a boutique in Sydney, also reportedly worked on DiCaprio’s wingman BFF Tobey Maguire before Sunday night. She shared with the Sydney Morning Herald that her “costs were covered,” which is only natural: No one is going to fly across the world on their own dime just to pluck at the boys of “The Wolf Pack.

Her expert brow services start at $180 and include “a full-face read” package of brow shaping and tinting, lash tinting, and a collagen eye treatment. To make the whole experience even more luxe, it also includes “a full heated paraffin hand treatment.” Say what you will about Leo, but at least he has soft hands.

“I first began doing Jen Maguire while they were here in Sydney filming The Great Gatsby,” said Hamilton. Jen, Tobey’s ex-wife, then made the connection to DiCaprio. Further proof that it’s all about who you know — and what those people need on Oscar night.

DiCaprio presented Emma Stone with the Best Actress award, giving rise to the brief suspicion that his card somehow ended up in Warren Beatty’s hands and caused the wrongful announcement of the Best Picture Winner. It’s since been proven that DiCaprio wasn’t behind the error, but at least he would have had perfect brows in all the reaction shots.
