Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock has opened up about breastfeeding her twins, admitting that it has been a struggle.

Speaking to the MailOnline the 30-year-old musician, who has not revealed the names or genders of the two children she shares with fiancé Andre Gray, explained that whilst breastfeeding has been challenging, it's also been incredibly rewarding.

"It's been intense," she said. "And I don't feel people talk about how hard it is – with the sleep deprivation on top, at one point I was literally hallucinating because I was so tired. It's definitely not easy."

Previously, Leigh-Anne has spoken out about how her relationship with her body has changed since she started breastfeeding. "I feel like now, I’m looking at my body differently," she said, "I breastfeed, so I feel like they’re boobs to feed my child." Over on Instagram, she also shared an intimate breastfeeding photo, simply captioned: "MOM 🖤".

"It's the hardest thing I've ever done," she added in her chat with the MailOnline, as bandmate Perrie Edwards (who also became a mum for the first time last year) praised her for how she has handled having newborn twins.

"Every night I'd be up breastfeeding Axel, so shattered my eyes would be falling out my head, and I'd just think of Leigh-Anne and the fact she had to do this with two," Perrie said. "Oh my goodness, she needs a medal! One baby is massively intense enough, never mind two. I don't get how she did it. We went through this together, which was incredible."

Sharing an insight into her own experience of motherhood, Perrie pointed out that she's taken to online forums to learn from other parents. "I love Mumsnet! Oh my god, I love it. It's so good," she said. "Every time I get worried about something I'll just type it into Mumsnet and find what all the different mums are saying about whatever it is."

Perrie continued: "It's helped me not to feel alone because it's like you've got loads of women there who are in the same boat and they all just get it. It's so nice. I love it."

We can't wait to see Leigh-Anne and Perrie continue on their parenthood journey – we can already tell they're going to be awesome!
