This set isn’t your nephew’s DUPLO set (and, FYI, LEGO says it’s for people 17 years old and older—though some reviewers said their tweens liked it). It’s packed with subtle details that mimic a real-deal Volkswagon camper. Think curtains, an authentic-looking front window, a sliding door and a pop-up tent. Peek inside photos of the finished product and you’ll see a kitchen with measuring cups and a sink. The interior furniture actually folds.
The set is more than just the camper, though. A surfboard, a pair of folding chairs and flower-power stickers will take you back to the Woodstock era. It makes for hours of mindful building — the perfect way to spend winter break or something to look forward to working on a little at a time.

In its final form, the camper van will be 13.5 inches long, six inches high, and 5.5 inches wide, making it a gorgeous item for a display case or mantle. Of course, there’s no shame in making like your five-year-old self and knocking it over to build it again.
The set doesn’t have a ton of reviews on Amazon, but the more than 300 people who did rate it gave it 4.8 stars out of eight. Some say it’s not the easiest to build, but tackling the challenge was well worth it.
