LeBron James, Steph Curry, Allen Iverson and other greats pay tribute on Kobe Bryant's jersey retirement night
All NBA eyes were on Kobe Bryant and the City of Los Angeles on Monday night as the Los Angeles Lakers raised both of Kobe’s jerseys to the rafters of Staples Center. Many of the league’s biggest names — past and present — sent congratulations to Kobe, including LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Shaquille O’Neal and Bill Russell.

DeMar DeRozan was one of many to chime in on the 8 vs. 24 debate:
This is tough, but I gotta go with #8. The hunger @kobebryant had to prove that a guard out of high school could eventually become one of the best ever is something that inspired me in all aspects of life. It inspired an entire generation. #8v24 @nikebasketball https://t.co/tILLZIerij
