'Law & Order' Selfie of Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni Will Make Your Heart Skip a Beat

Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni are giving fans what they want! 

The Law & Order Twitter account has delivered a brand new selfie between the two costars, and fans are absolutely loving it.

The snap features Meloni, 61, and Hargitay, 58, as they smiled at the camera. The two appear to be in the middle of filming Law & Order where they star as Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson.

Meloni donned a dark grey button-up shirt as his costar opted for a cozy black sweater. She seemingly appeared to have a fake bruise on her face directly under her left eye as the two were most likely filming a scene for the show.

"THIS JUST IN: A new #Bensler selfie just dropped @Chris_Meloni," the show's respective Twitter account wrote alongside the selfie.

Many fans went straight to the comments to correct the Twitter account, as the duo's relationship name is actually "Chriska," according to Hargitay herself.

"Listen to the Queen: “It’s Chriska”, and they also have a ‘new one’… MarshMelon," one fan wrote, including clips from an interview the pair did with Seth Meyers on his show, Late Night With Seth Meyers.

"Honey it's Chriska," another fan wrote.

The two costars have always been super close and fans have shipped the duo together offscreen for years. Fans are even still holding out hope that their Law & Order characters will end up together, which writer, Julie Martin had seemingly alluded to in a tweet from last month.

"She will talk to Rollins about her feelings for Stabler in Episode 9, Dec 8th. #ATraumaInAPearTree" Martin said of Hargitay's character.

In an interview with Today back in Sept. 2021, Hargitay and Meloni were asked if they had ever dated, to which the actress replied, "For four years, and we just broke up two months ago." Meloni added, "Don't tell our spouses."

Hargitay tied the knot with her husband, Peter Hermann back in 2004, and Meloni has been married to Doris Sherman Williams since 1995.
