It's been a few weeks since I had my first glimpse of him, but the image of Baby Yoda still nearly moves me to tears. I'm not alone in this, the little green dude is taking the world galaxy by storm, and I'm not complaining at all. Neither is Laura Dern, who claimed she saw Baby Yoda at a basketball game and who was just seen drinking a Baby Yoda latte. If this sounds like a lot to unpack, it's because it is.

About a week ago, Laura was asked in an interview by Variety if she had seen Baby Yoda yet: "Yes I did. Today...I think he was at a basketball game. That's all I'm gonna say." The confidence with which she said these words makes her a credible enough source to me. Baby Yoda was at a basketball game and Laura Dern saw him there. These are facts.

Then, to double down on her celeb spotting, she went to another basketball game with her Little Women co-star Timothée Chalamet and posted a photo to her Instagram with the caption "Caught a game to see if I could find him again #BabyYoda." It's almost too much to handle.

After the initial interview and then the follow-up Insta, it's apparent that Laura knows something we don't. Yesterday, she shared on her page a photo of her drinking a coffee with a Baby Yoda design in the foam that I not only want but need. "I'm feeling quite understood today," she wrote in the caption. So it's official...Laura Dern is all of us.
