Based on the novel of the same name by Laura Dave, the show follows a woman named Hannah (Jennifer Garner) who teams up with her stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) to find out why her husband Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) suddenly disappeared. Where was The Last Thing He Told Me filmed?

One fun-thrilling aspect of Hannah and Bailey’s lives is that they reside in a floating house in Sausalito, California. The community—located across from San Francisco's Golden Gate strait—consists of more than 400 houseboats and floating homes that are spread across five residential marinas in Marin Country. According to TV Guide, filming took place there as well as in Austin, Texas.

In Texas, the production tapped the University of Texas at Austin for some scenes. Garner told the outlet: "We loved UT. My dad's an Aggie, so that's front and center for me, but we loved being on the campus. And our first night there we met up and went down the river in a little tiny boat shaped like a little car and just watched it all go by."

The cast and crew were also spotted filming on Lady Bird Lake (formerly known as Town Lake) and Butterfly Bridge in Austin. Stay tuned for updates as we get more details on the incredible locations throughout the series—and even a few behind-the-scenes set design details. And make sure to stream new episodes as they become available on Apple TV+ every Friday through May 19.
