Yahoo Sports’ lead draft analyst Eric Edholm shares his evaluation of the Alabama offensive lineman.
ERIC EDHOLM: The last time we saw Alabama center, Landon Dickerson, on the field was for the final two snaps of the National Title game win over Ohio State. And Dickerson had a torn ACL at the time, and it really told you everything you needed to know about the respect his teammates had for him. Dickerson is a massive man who brings toughness, smarts, and versatility to an NFL offensive line.
The worry is about his health. He may take some time rehabbing, may possibly miss early part of next season. He's also not the quickest interior lineman we've ever scouted. There aren't many centers his size, so a comp is difficult, but he reminds us a little bit of former Dallas Cowboys center, Travis Frederick. Tough, big, strong, stout, all the same qualities that Dickerson has.
