At her Friday night show in Fort Worth, Texas, Lainey Wilson had a special surprise that had fans going wild. Wilson performed at Billy Bob's Texas, coined "The World's Largest Honky Tonk." At the sold-out show, she surprised fans with special guest and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Randy Travis, 64. The country and gospel singer, who suffered a stroke in 2013, has hits including "If I Didn't Have You" and "Forever and Ever, Amen."
In her post, Wilson posed on stage and behind the scenes of the iconic venue, which incorporated bull riding into the evening. "It ain't every night you get to bring out the legend @therandytravis nor sing through a megaphone by we covered both of those last night @billybobstexas 😂 📢 Thank ya'll for your patience while we waited for the power to kick back on...guess ya could say lightning likes use these days," Lainey captioned her post with photos by Ty Nicholson.
It seems the pair faced some technical difficulties due to power outages, but that didn't stop them from putting on a great show. The last photo of her carousel shows her singing into a megaphone while simultaneously playing guitar, talk about rolling with the punches!
It's safe to say fans were pleasantly surprised by Travis's special appearance at the show, and even more impressed by Lainey. "The real deal when Randy Travis comes to see your show! 🥲" and "What a big honor to be with Randy Travis!," fans commented on Wilson's post. Some fans even begged for Lainey to cover one of Travis's songs: "Who else wants to hear Lainey sing Forever and ever Amen?," the most popular comment reads.
As the most nominated female artist at the inaugural People's Choice Country Awards, it's easy to see the whole world is finally jumping on the Lainey train. We can't wait to see what she does next!
