Lady Gaga’s Eye Makeup at the Tommy Hilfiger Show Is Groundbreaking

The most exciting part of a runway show is typically what’s on the models — unless Lady Gaga is in the front row. Gaga sat front row at Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid’s Tommyland in Los Angeles, Calif. on Wednesday night and debuted yet another unforgettable eye makeup look.

“Bold brow” doesn’t even begin to cover the grunge-glamour look. Atop her flamed-out shadow and classic cat eye, she outlined an exaggerated brow line with three full rows of crystals. The look is sealed with a simple loose bun. Let’s not forget about her ensemble: Gaga transformed a Tommy Hilfiger runway dress from last season into a frilly, girly T-shirt and underwear, then wore the whole thing over fishnets.

It’s a testament to Gaga’s devotion to personal trends that this blinged-out eye makeup feels descended from her already iconic Super Bowl beauty look. Who else would equate diving into a Super Bowl stadium with jewels, jewels, and more jewels? Gaga’s Swarovski-crystal encrusted cat eye mask was a custom collaboration between her makeup artist Sara Tanno and Face Lace. Remember when Gaga’s signature beauty look was angled prosthetics on her cheekbones and shoulders? And when she wore her pink Joanne hat everywhere? This is so, so much better than that.
