  • Lady Gaga has revealed that she has quit smoking completely and went "cold turkey" on the habit.

  • The singer told New Music Daily on Apple Music, "I swear on my life I’m not smoking cigarettes."

  • Gaga detailed how "brutal" it was kicking the habit, but that she's not going back.

Lady Gaga has just released her long-awaited new single, "Stupid Love," and she's also quit an unhealthy habit she once had.

During an interview with New Music Daily with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Lady Gaga said, "I’m not smoking anymore, but I’d smoke 40 cigarettes all day long."

But according to the A Star Is Born actress, giving up the vice was far from easy. She mused, "I completely quit—I quit cold turkey. But it was so hard. If you don’t smoke, don’t smoke! Because quitting is worse. It is so brutal. And I will never smoke again because I think I saw Jesus for an entire week. It was so awful."

The superstar was adamant that she no longer smokes, at all: "I swear on my life I’m not smoking cigarettes." Basically, Gaga is heralding in an entirely new era in 2020, and it's smoke-free.

Gaga is currently dating entrepreneur and investor, Michael Polanksy, with whom she's posted several loved-up Instagram pics. Taking to the platform, the singer snuggled up with her new man and captioned one photo, "We had so much fun in Miami. Love to all my little monsters and fans, you’re the best! ❤️."
