Lady Gaga is in full preparation mode ahead of her highly anticipated return to the MTV Video Music Awards stage.

Yesterday, the pop star took fans behind the scenes and shared her secret to easing sore muscles from hours-long rehearsals: an ice bath. In the new photo, Gaga has her mermaid-blue hair pulled up into a messy top bun, and she's wearing a protective face mask while flashing the rock-on symbol—proving that she's going all in for the awards show on Sunday.

Gaga will share the stage with fellow singer Ariana Grande, with whom she collaborated for their hit song, "Rain on Me." Grande confirmed that the two stars would be performing together with a dreamy Instagram clip of rain clouds.

"Rain on me with @ladygaga live from the #vmas august 30th on @mtv 🖤," wrote Grande in the post.

Gaga first announced the performance, which marks her first time back on the MTV VMAs stage since 2013, with a hilarious video clip featuring the singer slowly sipping a glass of red wine in a fuzzy pink bathrobe and alien-esque headpiece. Since then, she's continued to tease her fans ahead of the big day.
