Lady Gaga Has 'Nothing to Do' With Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk's Relationship Problems

From ELLE

Multiple outlets this week have reported that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are really struggling in their relationship and questioning whether they should break up. Us Weeklyjoined the chorus with their own report last night about what's going wrong-and what isn't. A source made it clear that Lady Gaga has played no part in the two's relationship issues.

A source told the outlet that Shayk and Cooper's struggles have "nothing to do with Gaga.” A second source added that “nothing romantic” happened between Gaga and Cooper when they played each other's love interests in A Star Is Born. The two sparked affair rumors, especially after their chemistry-filled Oscar duet.

Gaga denied them then, explaining that there's a thing called acting, and that's precisely all she and Cooper were doing on stage. "Yeah, people saw love, and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see," she told Jimmy Kimmel. "I mean, this is a love song, 'Shallow.' The movie, A Star Is Born, it's a love story. We worked so hard. We worked all week on that performance."

"And from a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time," she continued. "I mean look, I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world. When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel." Kimmel teasingly asked if she was having an affair with Tony Bennett-which Gaga took as him asking her about Cooper too. "No, no," Gaga responded. "I’m an artist. I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!"

And even immediately following the duet, Us Weekly ran a report about how Shayk felt about it. She was unbothered. “Irina knows that Bradley and Gaga are artists,” a source said at the time. “It’s a nonissue for her. They were in character putting on an Oscar performance.

So what are Shayk and Cooper's actual issues? They're just not happy together anymore, both Page Six and E! reported this week. Us Weekly's source added that they've been struggling for some time.

“They haven’t been getting along for a while,” Us's source said. “They aren’t calling it quits yet, but they are not in a great place.”
