Lady Gaga Just Stepped Out in Leather, Feathers, and Mega Platforms

• To celebrate the launch of her new makeup line, Haus Laboratories, Lady Gaga arrived at a Los Angeles restaurant decked out in a vegan leather dress and a feather coat.

With her recent Oscar win and her admittance into the Academy, it may be easy to assume that the dramatic Gaga of heyday—the one who slathered herself in raw meats on the red carpet or who emerged from a translucent egglike pod during the Grammys—is gone. But that presumption would be overhasty and even (yes, I’m gonna say it) shallow of us to make.

The sartorial risks that have composed the bulk of Gaga’s reputation still exist! As recently as this past Wednesday, for instance, the “Born This Way” singer arrived at a West Hollywood restaurant decked out in a skin-tight, faux-leather black dress with a single, mile-long crystal earring, as presented in the Anouki Autumn–Winter 2019 Collection. Along with that breathtaking Anouki number, she strutted around in towering pointed boot platforms from Pleaser Shoes while carrying a theatrical ostrich feather coat, according to Page Six.

Not that Gaga needs an excuse to get glammed up, but Wednesday’s event celebrated the launch of Haus Laboratories, her new makeup line that aims “to spread kindness, bravery, and creativity by providing tools for self-expression and reinvention,” according to the brand’s website. Haus, which became available for presale on Monday, is the brainchild of her and her longtime makeup artist and pal, Sarah Tanno.

Last night, Tanno posted an Instagram video of Gaga using Haus products during a pre-party primping session.

She also posted this sweet photo of the duo posing inside the restaurant.
