The Lady Gaga–Bradley Cooper rumors just won't die, and this latest one really takes the cake. A tabloid published a report this week claiming the Joanne singer is pregnant but doesn't know if her A Star Is Born costar or her ex-fiancé, Christian Carino, is the father. Of course, this isn't true—but just in case you're skeptical, Gaga took to Twitter to shut it down. And she dropped an even bigger surprise in its place.

"Rumors I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6," Gaga tweeted Tuesday night, March 12. That's right, people: Lady Gaga isn't pregnant, but she does officially have an album on the way.

Here's the thing: Gaga has said in the past she's working on a new record, but her dubbing it #LG6 on Twitter suggests it's nearing completion and a release. Fans have been waiting for this moment for a while now, and the reactions online prove it.

We don't have an album release date right now, but fans can expect it to drop this year—maybe even in a matter of months. Awards season is over, and Gaga has a long stretch of time before her next Enigma Vegas show on May 30. It seems like the perfect opportunity to tackle a big project...like her sixth studio album.

It's hard to venture where Gaga will go music-wise. After all, the acoustic-inspired Joanne from 2016 came out of left field. But the neon-tinged vibe of her Enigma show, not to mention her glam-pop rendition of "Shallow" at the Grammys, suggest she'll return to her electronic roots. Over the summer, the cutting-edge DJ Sophie revealed she worked with Gaga on new music, which adds fuel to this fire too. As a Gaga diehard, I'm fully on board with this. No one makes pop music like Lady Gaga, and the world could use some "Just Dance" magic right about now.
