Unless a story involving a member of the extended Kardashian universe includes the phrase "found the cure for" or "will be tried at the Hague for," there's nothing any of them can do that would shift anyone's opinion of them, positively or negatively. We've just come to accept it for what it is.

For example, in a recent TikTok video, Kylie showed off the expensive item she recently gifted her five-year-old daughter. And it's got people reacting with either "OMG, adopt me, Kylie!" or "Perhaps all our recent misfortunes are a punishment from a higher power who has lost all capacity to love and forgive us, as our transgressions have grown too great."

Yes, Kylie took to TikTok to do a "What's in my bag" video. And amidst the lipliner, the SKIMS hair clip, and the Coachella wristband was another piece of wrist decor: a watch. Kylie was quick to note, "I have Stormi's little watch in here, it was actually my watch."

Now, many of us have probably gotten a hand-me-down from our parents when we were little kids, just like five-year-old Stormi. Maybe one of Dad's old ties, or a cheap necklace or hair accessory Mom no longer had any use for.

Or, you know, a $40,000 gold Rolex Day-Date watch.

Yes, Page Six reports that Kylie Jenner gifted her five-year-old child a $40k Rolex. And if you're thinking, "A child that age can't possibly appreciate the value of that watch," well, you'd be right! As Kylie says in her video, "She wore it to a birthday party and she didn't want to wear it anymore."

So... just go ahead and feel about that however you want to feel about it.
