Kylie Jenner started her weekend full of celebrations for her best friend Jordyn Woods's 21st birthday last night, going to a small dinner at Petite Taqueria with her and then out to Poppy nightclub. (Woods turns 21 on Sunday, the 23rd.) Kylie had a very special dress made just for this occasion-and relatively last minute, too. Kylie wore a brown Alejandro Collection custom made for her to complement Woods's metallic red mini dress. She dyed her hair pink with some $16 dyes with the help of hairstylist Chris Appleton.

ELLE.com got exclusive details from designer Alejandro Peraza about how the dress came to be, how much it's worth, and how Kylie shaped the final product.

The dress, first of all, is made with double silk spandex. "Kylie and her stylist Jill wanted to create a look to complement Jordyn’s for the ultimate best friend duo," Alejandro said. "I love feminine silhouettes and clean lines that allow women to shine in an understated way. It’s about enhancing what beauty and charisma a woman already has."

They had a tight deadline, and it took just "5 to 6 hours" for Alejandro and his team to create, and is worth $795. Kylie and her stylist worked with them to assemble her final look. "Kylie has a strong grasp on her personal style and tendency to set trends," Alejandro said. "Together with her stylist Jill Jacobs, we created this look from my sketches to get the desired fabrics and silhouettes down to perfection."
