The Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter Shade Perfect for Your Skin Tone, According to Kylie Jenner

Just like its Lip Kits, glosses, and palettes, the Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter sold out faster than you could say Kylie Jenner. Luckily, every single one of the six highlighter shades will be back in stock today. Also, Jenner gave some tips on her app{: rel=nofollow} for picking the right shade for your skin tone. You can reference her handy cheat sheet when shopping the highlighters in a couple hours. With several pinks, bronzes, and golds to choose from, it's helpful to know which complexions Jenner has in mind for each of the deliciously named shades.

If you have fair skin, Jenner wrote in a post that went up yesterday that the shades French Vanilla (an icy gold), Cotton Candy Creme (a rose gold) and Banana Split (a true gold) are "best for my paler girls." When she doesn't have a spray tan, she says these are the shades she likes to wear. We agree. Our editors with lighter skin tones tend to go for champagne, pearl, and rose gold highlighters. Personally, I don't usually wear bright gold ones, but I've been dying to try French Vanilla and Cotton Candy Creme, which is one of Jenner's overall faves. I would even layer them for my own custom petal pink shade. You can see swatches them on Jenner's arm below.

For medium skin tones, Jenner and her BFF Jordyn Woods like to use the Kylighters called Salted Caramel (a bronze) or Strawberry Shortcake (a warm pink). We have to agree with Jenner. Bronze and rosy highlighters look amazing on olive and tan skin tones. Banana Split would work, too. You peep how blindingly glowy Woods's cheekbones look with Salted Caramel brushed on them below.

If you have a deeper complexion, Jenner wrote, "Chocolate Cherry (warm coppery bronze) will be your go-to." As the darkest shade of the bunch, Chocolate Cherry is definitely the best choice because a shade like French Vanilla would look too chalky. You could probably pull off Salted Caramel and Strawberry Shortcake, too. (You can watch one of our editors gush over Too Faced's similar rose gold highlighter here.) And if you like the look of a shimmery blush, Strawberry Shortcake could double as one on your skin tone. You can pair it with Chocolate Cherry for a super radiant look.

All six of the Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter shades will be available for $22 each on kyliecosmetics.com at 6 p.m. EST tonight. We have a strong feeling that they will sell out fast once again. With that in mind, you should probably set a reminder on your phone if you want to try the Kylighter that is best for your skin tone.
