A lot happened on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Two new women joined the cast, Jamie Lee Curtis made an appearance, Dorit championed a cause called Homeless Not Toothless (yes, everyone is confused by this name), and Erika dropped a bunch of epic one-liners.

But back in the summer, Bravo released a teaser trailer for a *very* dramatic midseason episode. Towards the end of the season, the women take a trip to Aspen, Colorado, where a whoooole lot goes down.

And tonight, the ladies are going to rehash the drama during the Part 3 of the RHOBH reunion. And it looks like Bravo saved the most explosive claims for the reunion finale. That's because Erika accuses Kathy of using a homophobic slur off-camera, according to TMZ. Kathy denies the claim.

Here’s what you need to know.

What happened during season 12?

In the lead-up to the infamous "Aspen" episode, basically everyone was pissed with everyone. Lisa Rinna and Sutton Stracke were fighting, and Garcelle Beauvais and Erika Jayne started dueling over Erika’s drinking. Erika also got into it with Sutton during last week's episode regarding some comments about her extensive legal issues

Erika accused Garcelle of stirring up a “false narrative” that she had a drinking problem, while Garcelle uttered this line from this season’s trailer: “Erika, I don't have to make you look bad. You can do that on your own."

What happened in Aspen?

With all of that going on, the women decided it would be a good idea to take a trip to Aspen. There, more fighting ensued and Kathy Hilton kinda-totally loses her sh*t (more on that in a moment).

Things got so dicey at one point that Kyle Richards, who is Kathy’s half-sister, looked at an Ouija board and asked, “Are we going to work out our issues?”

Kathy Hilton seemed upset that her Casa del Sol tequila gets snubbed.

On the Sept. 14 episode, Kyle organizes a shopping trip to an Aspen hat store.

Kathy is excited to see that the shop’s bar is serving her tequila brand Casa del Sol, but got upset when Lisa ordered a shot of Kendall Jenner’s 818 instead. It's insult to injury, since Kathy wanted to have the Housewives taste Casa del Sol the night before, but no one was game.

She took Lisa’s snub at the hat shop as a personal dig, and got frustrated that her sister didn’t intervene. Kathy eventually left, saying that she was “f*cking pissed off.”

However, things seemed fine between Kathy and the ladies at dinner later that night. But then Kyle suggested that the group go to another bar and then to a club, which is where hell seemed to break loose.

What happened with Kathy Hilton in the club?

Kathy's "meltdown" began at a nightclub, per E News. Unfortunately, cameras didn't capture what went down at the club.

Sutton suggests that the whole thing was triggered by a...conga line. "Kathy was a little off," she said, per E News. "She kept asking everybody to do the conga line. And I don't think anybody wanted to do it. The next thing I know she's in my face saying that she wanted to go home, and, 'If you don't go home with me, you're not my friend.'"

In her confessional, a Diana, described what she witnessed. "I just saw her completely raging screaming at the girls and mostly at Kyle," she said, per People.

Kyle confirmed Kathy's anger in her confessional. "Kathy was saying she was pissed off and that I had to leave the club right now. I was very confused because I didn't even know what happened so I said, 'No, I'm not doing that. We just got here, Kathy.'"

Erika claims that Kathy used a slur.

According to TMZ, on tonight's reunion finale, Erika accuses Kathy of making a homophobic comment in Aspen. Kathy denies ever using the slur and calls Erika a liar.

Erika claims that Kathy used a slur against someone the cast was around earlier this season, per TMZ. However, Erika says that the slur happened off-camera. After Kathy's strong denial, some of the Housewives defended her. However, Kathy's sister, Kyle, just sits quietly next to Kathy during the back and forth with Erika.

TMZ sources say that Bravo investigated Erika's claim, but found that it's essentially a case of "She said, She said." It's Erika's word against Kathy's.

On Oct. 26th, hours before the episode airs, Erika took to social media to double down on her claims. “I was there. It happened. What the ‘audience’ chooses to believe is beyond my control,” she statement shared via her Instagram Story.

“I will never back down from the truth of what happened that night at the club in Aspen.”

The drama escalated in the car on the way home to Kyle's house.

And things reportedly got worse after Kathy and Lisa ended their night early to head back to Kyle's house. "We get in the sprinter van and Kathy starts screaming about everything and she's saying things like, 'I'm going to take down NBC, Bravo. I will take down the show single-handedly. I will f--king ruin you all,' Lisa said in a confessional.

During the drive home, Lisa apparently sent a play-by-play via text message.

"I feel like I have seen the devil," Lisa said of what unfolded in the van ride, "and her name is Kathy Hilton." She claimed that Kathy spoke rudely of Kyle—and all of the other ladies, too.

How did the other Housewives react?

Back at the house, Lisa locked herself in the bedroom and Erika said Kathy was just “so angry.” Diana Jenkins later described Kathy as literally “raging,” adding, “I don't even know who that person was."

The women try to intervene between the sisters to patch things up. “You said some things about this beautiful sister of yours,” Lisa says to Kathy, per Page Six. “I’m sorry, Kathy, but you’re not gonna get away with it."

Lisa then says to Kathy, “I just want to know where the hatred comes from," before Kathy replied, “You can be very unkind, too.”

The whole conversation also makes Kyle break down. “I feel like you hate me or something. How could you say those things?” she asks her half-sister.

What have the women said about Aspen?

Erika said she regrets how she behaved in at least one "Aspen" scene. "[They] were staying somewhere else and I got into it very heavily with them," Erika told E! of her fight about her $750,000 earrings with Crystal, Sheree, Sutton, and Garcelle. In fact, things were so bad that she literally said it was the one scene she'd want to take out of the show before it aired.

"I'd remove that. I haven't seen it; I experienced it, but what I experienced was bad so I can only imagine how bad it looks," she said.

Kathy also said that she was not “screaming and throwing things” on the trip, adding, “that is not me.”

Erika Jayne’s publicist may have leaked the Aspen gossip.

In the final episode of season 12, Kyle fights with Lisa and Erika Jayne about the Aspen gossip because, according to Kathy, Erika Jayne’s publicist was the one who leaked her Aspen antics to the press, per Gawker.

So, now, Kyle thinks Erika leaked the drama to distract from her legal troubles and direct the negative attention to Kathy, instead.

What happens during the season 12 reunion?

A source told People that Kyle and Kathy brought “a lot of tense energy” to the reunion, adding, "They cannot reconcile, and it's all so complicated because nobody's backing down.” Seeing the fight in action was like watching “years of family trauma that hasn't been dealt with,” according to the source.

Insiders told TMZ that what Kathy and Kyle said to each other, on and off camera, was “so shocking it was hard to watch.” Apparently, Kathy “unraveled” after arriving on the set, and it had a negative effect on Kyle, who had to remove herself from the stage, a production source said.

While no one knows exactly what goes down between Kathy and Kyle yet, a recent interaction on Instagram proves things are still not going great.

“Why is she so upset and crying? I’m the one who bullied and percacuted for 10 months! Just cruel and disgusting,” Kathy commented on a post. “Why? You know exactly why,” Kyle responded.

Kyle and Kathy are barely speaking after filming.

Apparently, the sisters have only communicated through text messages since the reunion taping, a production source told TMZ. "They always make up, but this is a little different because Kathy is front and center on camera. She hasn't been forced to be vulnerable,” a source told People.

I guess everyone will have to wait and see how all this Aspen drama goes during the reunion.
