Kyle Anderson's impact following Ja Morant injury

Steve Alexander expects Kyle Anderson to make an offensive impact for the Memphis Grizzlies after Ja Morant's injury.

- Ja Morant suffered an ugly ankle injury on Monday night. We saw him writhing on the floor in pain, carried off in a wheelchair. X-Rays were negative. He did return to the bench, he was wearing a walking boot. But this does not look like a good injury for Ja Morant. We don't know how long it's going to keep him out. It could be a month, it could be a week. We don't know, we're waiting to find out. But in the meantime, Tyus Jones is going to start for him. Jones averaged 8.8 points, 6.3 assists, a steal, and a three in his six starts last season. Those numbers are OK, he's going to be a hot pick up.

But I'm more interested in Kyle Anderson, the man they call Slow Mo. Having a career year with the Memphis Grizzlies, even with Morant going off, averaging 18.3 points, 10.3 boards, two assists, and 2.3 three pointers. Now, he hasn't got a steal yet this season, but they're probably coming. His usage rate should go up with Morant looking at missing time. He can play both forward spots, he can play point guard, which he did a little bit on Monday when Morant went down. Tyus Jones is going to be the guy people are looking to pick up. He's the obvious name. But Kyle Anderson for my money, is the better value.
