Kristin Cavallari Pens Poignant Tribute to Daughter Saylor While Grieving Her Late Brother Michael: 'She Has Given Me So Much Strength'

Kristin Cavallari is still in the midst of mourning her late brother Michael, and one very special person is helping her get through it.

Cavallari, 28, posted a touching Instagram shot of her 3-week-old daughter Saylor James Cutler‘s tiny feet on Monday, writing, “My little angel, Saylor. She has been my light throughout this whole thing and has given me so much strength. Thank you baby girl for coming when u did.”

The Laguna Beach star’s brother, 30, was confirmed dead this past Thursday after a two-week search in Utah.

“We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time. We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found,” Kristin, 28, told PEOPLE in a statement. “This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.”

Kristin also paid tribute to Michael on Instagram, sharing a photo of the siblings as toddlers and telling followers: “My heart is in a million pieces.”

Officials said Michael’s body was discovered in the Salt Wash area near exit 175 on I-70 in Grand County, which is described as having steep and rocky terrain. He went missing Nov. 27 after abandoning his car off the highway. And a day earlier, he was arrested in Orange County and briefly held in jail.
