Kristen Stewart’s Punkish Pixie Owned the Red Carpet at the Charlie’s Angels Premiere

Kristen Stewart is out to prove that growing out a buzz cut is actually an appealing affair. With abbreviated styles that have ricocheted from close-shorn to shaved, piece-y to perfectly coiffed, Stewart's close-to-the-crown lengths lately seem even more versatile than their down-to-there counterparts. For last night's premiere of Charlie's Angels in L.A, the actress continued on her mission, her punkish, predominantly brunette hair giving way to peroxide ends.

Stewart's evening gambit of high-impact eye makeup and off-kilter hair was on full display, her gaze encased in a smoked mauve topped with a flick of black eyeliner. But it was her hair, styled by Adir Abergel, that demanded the majority of onlooker attention. "I wanted to create a look that embodied 90’s street style grunge,” says Abergel of the concept, a goal he achieved with wet-look texture furthered by spiked and swept elements. Just add Stewart's penchant for an irreverent red carpet pose, and you have a moment worthy of a millennial It girl.
