The family's annual motorhome trip took them to the Pacific Northwest.

Kristen Bell has been busy traveling the world before the end of summer, or at least that's what it looks like from her Instagram page.

Three weeks ago, the 42-year-old shared a glimpse of her romantic getaway in Italy with her husband, Dax Shepard, 47, and just yesterday, the actress posted nearly a dozen photos from a recent family vacation with a rare appearance by her two kids: Lincoln, 9, and Delta, 7, who had emojis censoring their faces.

The four dove right into the great outdoors with a trip to Swan Valley, Idaho. In the photos shared by the Disney Frozen actress, the family can be seen hiking on the Snake River, climbing waterfalls, horseback riding, and rafting with friends.

The reason for the trip wasn't just to make wholesome (and adrenaline-inducing) memories, but to celebrate the birthday of the couple's friend; actress and singer, Naomi Scott.

Bell made sure to give everyone that made the getaway possible a shout out in the caption–including celebrity couple Jimmy Kimmel and actress Molly McNearney, who hosted the birthday celebration.

"Swan Valley, Idaho, on the Snake River 💜 Thank you @mmcnearney and @jimmykimmel - you’re the best hosts in the biz. And happy birthday to our Queen @nfscott 🎉," she wrote.

Shepard also shared a few throwback images on his Instagram page and his post offered even more details to how the family soaked up their last licks of summer.

The actor's carousel of pics showed off the couple's RV camper in a secluded waterfront park—an ideal location for a quiet nature-oriented retreat—as well as sweet shots of Bell and the rest of the family (pup included!).

"Humidity. Sunsets. Olfactory bliss. Kind hosts. #BigBrown in a meadow, complete with a 50 amp outlet. Pontoon jungle cruise. Dearest Summer, please never end. #deadpresidents," Shepard captioned the series of camping photos.

Prior to setting off on their outdoorsy adventure, the actress told People that family was excited for their two-week "annual summer motorhome trip"— and fans now, certainly, understand why.
