Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian Reveal They Haven't Been Washing Their Hair Much Lately

For a lot of us, social distancing has thrown a wrench into our daily routines. Whether your sleep schedule is all over the place or you're somehow eating breakfast at 11 a.m. (I feel you), all routine rules have been thrown out the window during isolation. And the Kardashian sisters share our pain. In a live video posted to YouTube on May 13 as part of Kourtney Kardashian's "Wellness Wednesday" series, Kourt and sister Khloé Kardashian revealed how social distancing has impacted their routines and, well, let’s just say they've stopped washing their hair.

While the sisters have not quite stopped their hair washing for good, in the broadcast they revealed they have not been washing their hair as frequently as before. "You're turning into me with the hair touching, I just want you to know," Khloé says at the beginning of the live video, to which Kourtney responds, "You know why? Because this is hair from just taking a shower and letting it dry and sleeping on it. I haven't even brushed my hair today!" I wish I could relate.

But K&K have a point. Refraining from shampooing your hair too frequently is actually a great practice. Washing your hair daily can harm it in many ways — from stripping it of essential oils to increasing split ends and even causing excess product buildup.

Instead of frequent washes, Kourtney explained that she's just been washing her hair with water — not shampoo — after working out. Khloé, on the other hand, revealed she does a full shampoo wash at the beginning of the week and relies on dry shampoo when needed for the rest of the week.

Take it from the Kardashians — now is not the time to damage your hair.
