Kourtney Kardashian Says IVF Journey to Get Pregnant Has Been "Awful"

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been trying to have a baby for quite some time, but according to the Poosh founder, it doesn't seem to be going as planned.
During Thursday's episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kardashian spoke to mom Kris Jenner about her and Barker's efforts to have a baby together.
When Jenner asked her daughter how her doctor.s appointment were going, Kardashian replied, "Awful." She added. "The medication that they've been giving me, they put me into menopause."
She later said in confessional, "Travis and I want to have a baby and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF and it hasn't been the most amazing experience."
Kardashian added that treatment has made her feel depressed, and she doesn't think it's helping her.
"I think because I'm so clean and careful with what I put into my body, it's just having the complete opposite reaction and is working as a contraceptive instead of helping us," she said in confessional.
Jenner admitted she didn't realize her eldest daughter was struggling so much.
"I feel like I've never seen you happier so the depression thing surprises me," she said.
In confessional, the Kardashian-Jenner momager added, "Even though Kourtney has three beautiful children, it doesn't make it hurt any less if you're trying to have a baby and you've been struggling."
Kardashian is already mom to sons Mason and Reign and daughter Penelope with ex Scott Disick, while Barker is dad to son Landon, daughter Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana, with ex Shanna Moakler.
A source told PEOPLE that Barker and Kardashian, who got engaged last year and had a practice wedding in Las Vegas earlier this month, "decided to try and get pregnant after they had dated for a few months" and started the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process "last summer."
"It's been an emotional rollercoaster. They never expected it to be as hard as it's been," the source said. "It's been especially difficult for Kourtney. They still would love to have a baby. Travis is not putting any pressure on Kourtney though. He just wants her to be happy and healthy."
Kardashian said on the show that the reason she and Barker "want it so badly" is because "we want to make something together."
"Yeah, of course," Jenner responded. "You wanna bring your own baby, your own love into the world. You both know exactly how it feels to have a child and how to bring a child into the world, and now you want to do it with the love of your life."
In the show, Kardashian and Barker were seen visiting a doctor's office together. In one scene, Kardashian was seen lying down on the hospital bed while the Blink-182 drummer held and kissed her hand.
Kardashian said on the show that she has seen the many baby rumors that have been swirling around social media, but all they do is hurt her feelings, as nobody knows what she's putting herself through to try to get pregnant.
"Every single person on social media is always like, 'Kourtney's pregnant, Kourtney's pregnant, Kourtney's gained so much weight.' I'm like, it's so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they're actually going through," she said.
