Kourtney Kardashian Said Filming ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Was Like Being on a Hamster Wheel

• Kourtney Kardashian compared being on Keeping Up With the Kardashians to being on a hamster wheel.

• She stepped back from filming last year and ended up starting a whole feud with her sisters.

• Kris Jenner insisted Kourtney has “seen the light” since then.

Kourtney Kardashian started distancing herself from Keeping Up With the Kardashians way back in July 2018, and honestly, it seems like she and her sisters are still working through their issues. (In February, Kim Kardashian joked that she might need to get a lawyer after a particularly bad fight with Kourtney.) After feeling totally fed up with filming, Kourt decided to take a step back from the show last season, and she just opened up to E! News’ Jason Kennedy about what was going through her mind back then.

First off, Kourt said she feels like she’s in a “new season” of her life and is definitely prioritizing her family over the show now. She explained, “I feel like I’ve finally gotten to the place where I can balance being a mom and working. I’ve always done both, obviously, but it used to be where I would work a lot more. And so I’ve really shifted my focus.”

Also, Kourtney’s three kids are her “whole life” and they require “one-on-one time” with her, which she has committed to giving them.

But before she took more time for herself and her family, Kourtney admitted she was “feeling just really unhappy.” She added, “I felt like I was on a hamster wheel. I felt like something needed to change.”

All that said, Kris Jenner insisted that Kourtney just needed a break and is back to filming. She shared, “You know how we all hit a tipping point? She hit a wall and she was frustrated. And she felt underappreciated and that her sisters didn’t understand her boundaries. So I think after taking a little bit of time off, she’s seen the light.”
