Kourtney Kardashian’s Naked Illusion Dress Looks Like a Renaissance Painting
Kourtney Kardashian is the mind behind multiple businesses and a slew of edgy, rockstar hubby-approved outfits, so we aren't surprised that she came up with a way to look fully naked...while being completely clothed from head to toe.
Kourtney served lewks for the camera in a series of Instagram photos where she showed off an Olivier Rousteing creation from Balmain's Spring 2023 collection. Her fitted dress featured a portrait of a naked woman painted in the High Renaissance art style, making the eldest Kardashian look like she was nude. (It's an impressive feat, TBH, as Kourt was technically wearing a high-neck, floor-skimming dress with long, modest sleeves.) A photo of the back revealed a Renaissance cherub print against a blue sky background, with a long zipper down the center of the fabric.
"If you’d like to make a call please hang up and try again ☎️," she cheekily captioned, in reference to the pre-recorded analog answering machine message of the phone pictured in the post's fifth slide.
Fans who were divided in their opinions of the high-fash dress (although there's no denying that it's a serve 💅) started a discussion in the comment section. Some were in support of Kourtney's look — one fan praised, "Being Mrs. Barker looks good on you" while another theorized, "She’s saying her body is a piece of art work by wearing art itself."
Others admitted that the naked look wasn't their cup of tea. "I guess I just don't understand fashion🤔," admitted one of her followers.
One thing we know for sure, though, is that the body-conscious dress is definitely up Kourtney's style aisle — her husband recently posted a photo of the two of them were Kourt rocked a similar (and slightly less naked) art print dress. Travis hid behind Kourtney in the mirror, with just his arms and legs peeking out, captioning the photo "Oh hey there."
What do you think — does Kourtney's illusion dress have you scratching your head in confusion, or is it a total work of art?
Whether or not you're going to be wearing nude paintings on your clothing anytime soon, the silhouette dress trend is definitely one to keep an eye on. Here are some of our favorites.
