Korea's beauty veteran opens first Leekaja salon in Singapore

South Korean hair salon chain Leekaja was launched in Singapore on Friday (16 December) at Mandarin Gallery shopping mall.

The latest heavyweight in Singapore’s already competitive Korean beauty market is owned by veteran beauty entrepreneur Madame Leekaja, who opened her first hair salon in South Korea in 1972.

To date, she owns about 200 branches across South Korea, USA, China and Australia, with 130 of which located in South Korea alone.

Other popular hair salons that also offer Korean hairstyle services in Singapore include Koinonia and Zinc Korean Hair Salon. However, none of which has been led by a hairstylist as experienced as Leekaja, who is now in her seventies, and has also done hairstyling for various television shows including the ones in China.

Located on the third level of Mandarin Gallery, Leekaja boasts comfortable rustic chairs, a drinks bar and a nature-themed interior decor specially designed for customers to relax.

Nail grooming, eyebrow shaping services and face makeovers are also available.

Take a look at Leekaja’s first outlet in Singapore, which is also the latest addition to a slew of openings that the mall has seen this year, including Michael Kors and Victoria’s Secrets’ flagship outlets.
