Camila Mendes is traveling for love. She went Instagram official with her new boyfriend Grayson Vaughan on Thursday, marking her first relationship since splitting from Riverdale co-star Charles Melton late last year. The photo shows the couple embracing and kissing in front of a private jet, with Vaughan's back turned toward the camera. "That long distance kind of love," she captioned the picture, tagging her new man.

Ahead, everything we know about the 28-year-old photographer and his connection to another Riverdale cast member.

He's a photographer, who has snapped pics of Riverdale's KJ Apa.

While Vaughan hasn't posted any pics of Mendes on social media, his feed is filled with beautiful photos. He's a photographer who showcases photos of everything from fashion shoots to protests to nature landscapes. He also appears to be a credited photo assistant on The New York Times Style Magazine cover shoot for Amy Adams and an Interview Magazine shoot with Hailey Bieber.

His most recent photos are actually of Mendes' Riverdale co-star KJ Apa, which she liked on Instagram. While the origins of their relationship are unclear, Mendes has been consistently liking photos on Vaughan's feed since mid-February.

More Riverdale cast member photo shoots could be coming. Mendes' co-star Madelaine Petsch commented under a snap of Apa, "Wtf why haven’t u taken cool photos of me yet Grays." Mendes replied, "get in line."

He's previously modeled.

Prior to his career behind the lens, Vaughan was a model. He appeared in campaigns for Kenneth Cole Reaction, East Dane, and Benson. His work as a model also included a spread in Details magazine before his shift to photography. It appears Vaughan isn't as comfortable in front of the camera anymore. Selfies of himself are few and far between on Instagram. But there's no complaints about what is there.

He and Mendes were first spotted together in February.

Mendes went Instagram official with Vaughan almost seven months after their first public sighting. They were spotted together in February during Milan Fashion Week in Italy. In May, photographers captured a few masked-up outings from the pair.

This is Mendes' first public relationship since calling it quits with Melton back in October 2019. When news of the split broke in December, source told E! there was no drama between the exes and co-workers. "They both have movie projects separately, and it's been a lot on both their plates," the source said. "Nothing in particular happened, they just both felt busy and overwhelmed and it was a lot of pressure on them."

He has a lot of celebrity friends.

Neither Mendes nor Vaughan are strangers to a high-profile circle. When Mendes posted her first photo with Vaughan, several of her celeb friends congratulated them in the comments section. "I’m not crying!!!! You are!!!!," Petsch wrote. "Vibesss," To All the Boys' Lana Condor chimed in. There were also well wishes from 13 Reasons Why's Katherine Langford ("Happy for you"), and Tommy Dorfman ("FINALLY PUBLIC").

Vaughan has also got a friends in high places, with followers including Gigi Hadid, Margaret Qualley, and Kaia Gerber. Back in 2016, he shared a photo booth pic with pal Talltulah Willis (daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis).

The couple is going long-distance because of Riverdale.

Mendes' "long distance" caption is due to the fact that filming on season 5 of Riverdale is resuming in Vancouver. Lili Reinhart confirmed the news in a recent interview with Nylon, revealing that quarantine will keep the cast separated from loved ones for months. "I genuinely feel like a prisoner, going back to work, because I cannot leave Canada," she told the outlet. "That doesn't feel good. You can't go home for Thanksgiving, can't visit your family. No one can come visit you unless they quarantine for two weeks. It just feels f*cked." (Reinhart later tweeted that her words were taken out of context.)

That means, theoretically, Vaughan and Graham won't be reunited until Christmas. Here's to FaceTime.
