Update: January 22, 2021
Good things can come in small packages and Hershey's knows that to be true. Although none of their products are less than perfect as is, the company is always releasing new versions of their classic candies so people can choose how they want to enjoy their favorites. That's exactly the thought behind their latest release Kit Kat Thins that are already being seen in stores ahead of their official release.
Kit Kat Thins feature two layers of wafer rather than the typical three, making the chocolate to crunch ratio a little bit different than the normal size. The candies come individually wrapped in big bags so you can choose how many you want to snack on at a time. It was originally announced that Kit Kat Thins would hit stores in February, but it seems people are already finding the treat at Walmart. @Foodiewiththebeasts found a bag of Kit Kat Thins at their Walmart and gave the new product a glowing review.
"Gotta say, I was pretty impressed at how well these came out. I for sure thought they'd be all chocolate, but just like the Reese's Thins, they don't skimp!" they wrote.

There are a lot of upsides to the beloved Kit Kat. For one, it's crunchy, for another, it's chocolatey, and, like, what else do you really need? It's called gratitude—look it up! But the only possible downside is that you cannot simply shovel them into your mouth the way you can, say, Hershey's Kisses or Reese's Pieces. But luckily that one small factor is about to change. Hershey's is releasing Kit Kat Thins next month and they're about to change the snacking game forever.
Kit Kat Thins have everything you love about traditional Kit Kats, but they're made thinner and more easily snackable. They're also individually wrapped and sold in a bag, so that means you can have as many or as few Kit Kats as you'd like. Plus, with a thinner wafer (typical Kit Kats have three layers, these have two!), you'll get even more of a satisfying crunch. And their use goes even further beyond simply eating them out of the bag. I could see these being the perfect addition to a bowl of popcorn for something sweet and savory, as well as a great topping for cupcakes or to be mixed in cookie dough. I dunno! Spitballing here!!
This new candy is sure to be a big hit, so keep your eye out once you see it because I'm sure it'll go quickly. Hershey's is dropping Kit Kat Thins officially in February, but when they're available near you may vary. Fingers crossed they come your way soon!
