Kristen Stewart rocks white Chanel two-piece at Independent Spirit Awards
Kristen Stewart, 31, turned heads both on stage and on the red carpet in a white sequin, Chanel two-piece at the 37th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards in LA on Sunday night.
The actor/filmmaker attended as both the honorary chair of the event, which is dedicated to celebrating independent cinema, and as a presenter. She rocked the sparkling monochrome ensemble, topped off with black heels, a loose ponytail, a dramatic smoky eye and jet-black nails.
Stewart, also a first-time Oscar nominee for her role as Diana in Spencer, waved at fans and photographers as she arrived on the (in this case) blue carpet, posing with Pablo Larraín, who directed the film exploring the British royals.
Before presenting the Best Male Actor category, Stewart joked it was the first time she'd been at the ceremony despite her career since Twilight, with her best-known for playing Bella Swan.
"And I've made so many independent movies. Now I see that you just have to make a really, really good one," she quipped. "I will try harder next time."
She also highlighted how the award ceremony stood with the people of Ukraine and anyone affected by the current conflict. "They're risking their lives to fight for their very things," she said.
"We stand with the hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing this war, both Ukrainians and those of other ethnicities and nationalities who are being denied safe harbour."
Among the other best dressed celebrities on the carpet were model and actor Lily James and Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney. James arrived in a jewelled pink bralette with flowing, puff sleeves, paired with black high-waisted trousers and platform heels.
The 32-year-old Pam & Tommy star opted for a sleek, middle-parting hairstyle with dewy makeup and a nude lip.

Euphoria star Sweeney, 24, was pictured in a grey midi dress with floral detail, attending her first red carpet event since her boyfriend, now-fiancé, Jonathan Davino, proposed late last month.
She also debuted her new, auburn hair colour (a big change from her usual blonde), a trend recently seen on many different celebrities, including Kendall Jenner at Fashion Week.
Posting pics of the outfit and the night on Instagram, the actor wrote, "so...I did a thing', crediting Miu Miu for the dress, Melissa Hernandez for the make-up, Florido for the hairstyle, Molly Dickson as the stylist and Zola for the matching grey jewelled nails.

At the ceremony, held at at the Santa Monica pier, Maggie Gyllenhall's film The Lost Daughter landed many big wins, including Best Feature, Best Screenplay and Best Director.
The 44-year-old actor wore a sparkling, black two-piece, including a blazer with striking shoulder pads and skirt, revealing a black lace bra. The whole outfit was also embellished with colourful florals.
Taylour Paige, 33, also made waves at the event as she picked up the award for Best Female Lead for Zola, a comedy-crime film about strippers who travel to Florida.
The actor wore an unmissable, two-piece co-ord, including a short-sleeved crop top fastened at the collar and a body-con skirt, with the whole outfit being adorned in blue sequins.
Presenters for the Spirit Awards also included Dianna Agron, Javier Bardem, Rosario Dawson, Andrew Garfield, Regina Hall, James Sweeney, Taika Waititi and more. Other chairs for the ceremony in previous years include Ava DuVernay, Jessica Chastain, Ang Lee and Shaka King.
