Just days in, Kings rookie Marvin Bagley III’s time at the Las Vegas Summer League has come to an end.

Bagley underwent an MRI on Monday morning that revealed a pelvic bone bruise, the Kings announced Monday night.

While it’s just a bruise, and isn’t usually a serious injury, the Kings aren’t taking any chances. Bagley will sit out for the remainder of the Summer League, but is expected to be back to full health within two weeks.

The injury itself wasn’t blatantly seen during the Kings’ game on Saturday against the Phoenix Suns, though Bagley was definitely seen with some discomfort after attempting to stop Suns rookie and the No. 1 overall pick in last month’s NBA draft DeAndre Ayton down low. After picking up a foul, Bagley was seen stretching out by the bench, obviously in pain.

He put up 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Sacramento’s loss to the Suns on Saturday. He did not play against the Clippers on Sunday.

Bagley was the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA draft this year. The 6-foot-11 big man averaged 21 points and 11.1 rebounds per game last season at Duke.
