Original cast members are set to reunite with the series' creators for an all-new version of the beloved animated adult comedy.

A King of the Hill reboot is headed to a major streaming platform, and Mr. Big is pleased.

The revived version of the animated adult comedy has been ordered at Hulu, new reports reveal.

The reboot will reunite most of the original cast and production members, including series creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, and voice actors Kathy Najimy, Stephen Root, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick and Lauren Tom, according to Variety. The show will also bring on talent like Saladin Patterson (who previously worked on scripts for Frasier, Psych, and The Big Bang Theory, among others), who is set to pitch in the writer's room and serve alongside the co-creators as executive producer of the series.

"Yeah, man I tell you whot man, that dang Ol’ Greg, talking about ‘O.G.’ and then that Mike Judge … Inspirations, man … the original show, dang ol’ classic … Got my kids, man, walking around talking about ‘That’s my purse! I don’t know you!’ Feeling blessed, man, I tell you whot ‘Feel so Good’ is a great song, I don’t care what no-dang-body says …" Patterson joked with the outlet.

"We are all so excited to welcome back Hank, Peggy and Bobby, and to see what they have to say about the world we live in and continue the conversations we began years ago," Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney Branded Television Streaming Originals, said in a statement. "This show has all of the perfect ingredients to meet this moment in animation at Hulu, and we’re so thankful to be having those conversations alongside this talented group."

The series examines small life living in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas, through the lens of the Hill family–led by propane salesman Hank (Judge), his wife Peggy (Najimy), and their son Bobby (Adlon)–and originally aired on Fox from 1997-2009, totaling over 250 episodes across 13 seasons.

The series drew wide acclaim from fans even after the finale, who petitioned to bring back the animated adult comedy in 2019–two years after the network reportedly held talks to discuss a potential revival.

Marci Proietto, executive vice president of 20th Television Animation, told the outlet that the reboot wouldn't have happened without the series' fans. "I’m so lucky to have been a part of this show from the very beginning and couldn’t be more excited to visit Arlen, Texas, once again with Mike, Greg and Saladin, who together are bringing a whole new perspective to the original series."

Proietto continued: "We all want to thank the fans for their overwhelming support because they helped make this happen, and I can’t wait to share this new iteration through the lens of 2023 America. In the words of our beloved Peggy Hill: ‘Ho yeah!'"

Information regarding the series' release date was not immediately available.

King of the Hill marks the second Fox animated series to be revived by Hulu following the 21st Century Fox-Disney merger, which allowed Disney to acquire 20th Television and some of its programming, but not the broadcast network. Hulu previously announced it would be rebooting Futurama with 20 new episodes featuring the show's original cast to be released sometime in 2023.
