The Kardashian's new series has been a bit of wild ride so far: from the revelation that Khloé and Tristan briefly reconciled just before the paternity scandal broke, to the hilarious moment with Kris's phone. But, one aspect of the show that's had us all pretty shocked is the amount of insight we've got into Kim's split from Kanye West. In the latest episode Kim revealed that there was a moment after an event when Kanye told her that her career was "over" for one specific reason.

In case you need a recap (because at this point we all do) Kim and Kanye split back in early 2021 with Kim filing for divorce in February of that year. While things seemed amicable at first - with Kanye even helping Kim with her Saturday Night Live hosting gig - the split sadly seemed to turn a little in November of that year after reports emerged that Kim was dating SNL costar Pete Davidson.

From there, things got a little dramatic, with Kanye making multiple comments about his former wife on social media and during performances, until Kim was forced to speak out on social media in February 2022.

Well, according to the latest episode of The Kardashians the split looks to have been far trickier beneath the surface than we realised. In the latest episode Kim opens up about trying to learn how to style herself after the split, explaining how much she relied on her then husband's advice on her career and styling.

She adds that there was an event following their breakup that she styled herself for, and Kanye responded by mocking the look and telling her that her career was "over.

Explaining to the camera that it had been ten months since she had filed for divorce (the episode was filmed in November), Kim said, "I got to a point where I would ask him for advice for everything — down to what I wear. Even now I’m having panic attacks like, what do I wear?"

She explains that Kanye helped her style her look for SNL but that for the Wall Street Journal Innovator Awards she put together her own outfit and struggled with the whole thing.

"Then for the Wall Street Journal magazine, I won the innovator award for Skims. And I was like, 'How do I wear something that hasn’t been pre-vetted first?' Like, it was like psychologically [difficult]," she explained.

In the end Kim wore her iconic brown leather outfit, featuring a dress from the Skims x Fendi collection, matching gloves and snakeskin print boots. While fans loved the look, Kanye was less than impressed, according to Kim.

"He called me afterwards. He told me my career's over. And then he showed me a picture of Marge Simpson wearing something similar," she revealed to Kourtney during the scene.

Okay, firstly, Marge is a fashion icon (remember the Chanel suit?) and secondly, you do you Kimberly!
