Kim Kardashian Spends $800,000 Over Asking Price for Home Between Her and Kanye West

Kim Kardashian just dropped a huge amount of cash on a small home that sits right between her and Kanye West's property. Quick background before we get into it: Kanye purchased the house across the street from Kim back in December 2021 for over the asking price, shelling out $4.5 million on the Hidden Hills estate. Kanye’s new place was built in 1955 and Dirt described it as “architecturally unremarkable” (lol) with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a guest studio.

A lot of people side-eyed this move at the time since Kim and Kanye were in the midst of a pretty tense divorce, but a source told People that Kanye bought the place to be closer to his kids:

According to Page Six, Kim dropped $6.3 million on the house that sits right next to her giant mansion, and paid $800,000 over the asking price to ensure she got it. The outlet points out that the small home sits "directly in the middle" of her house and the one Kanye bought across the street.

As a source put it, “Kim and Kanye continue to co-parent their four children and as such buying the property around the main home for their kids one day falls in line with that shared goal.”
