Kim Kardashian Shows Off Her ‘Revenge Body’ After 20-Lb Weight Loss In New Gym Selfie
Kim Kardashian continues to flaunt her sculpted, toned and much slimmer figure. The reality star, 42, highlighted her washboard abs, tiny waist and iconic curves in a new gym mirror pic that she uploaded to her Instagram Story for her 344 million followers.
The SKIMS mogul recently confessed to dropping 21 pounds to specifically fit into Marilyn Monroe’s dress for the 2022 Met Gala, and has maintained this svelte physique ever since. In the months following that event, Kardashian split from boyfriend of nine months, Pete Davidson, and the effects of her tumultuous divorce from Kanye West. This, as many fans on Twitter call it, is her “revenge body.”

Kim Kardashian Rocks Skintight, All-Black Workout Set In New Gym Selfie
In the story post, Kardashian can be seen posing with entrepreneur David Grutman and personal trainer Senada Greca. She captioned it, “I mean look at these gainz we’ve been making.” In the pic, the mom of four snapped herself donning a low-cut, scoop-neck sports bra, high-waisted, curve-hugging leggings and gray running sneakers after a workout sesh.
The Kardashians star wore her long, newly dyed black tresses down, parted in the center and styled into loose waves. Grutman re-posted the image of the trio to his Instagram account, and Greca commented, “We crushed it this morning” with a fire emoji. Kardashian confirmed that their workout was intense, writing, “Yessss us! Two hour workouts” with another fire emoji.
Fans headed to the comment section to share their thoughts on her continually evolving figure and weight loss, with one writing, “Such a difference! Keep up the good work” and another chiming in, “This should be freeze framed and hung in an art gallery. Kim K casually flexing her guns is goals.”
Kardashian Opens Up About Weight Loss
Kardashian certainly made a plethora of headlines last year after dropping a significant number of pounds, and was criticized for “promoting starving oneself” or “acting like losing weight is easy,” as some fans on Twitter put it. She told Vogue that to get Monroe’s iconic gown on for the Met Gala, she had to go on an extreme diet. This, she noted, required her to eliminate many foods from her daily intake.
The SKKN founder said to the outlet, “I tried it on and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks.'” She went on, “I had to lose 16 pounds down today. It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks.” Many fans expressed their concerns following this, stressing that “extreme diets are far from healthy,” as another tweeted.
Kardashian addressed this controversy in an Allure interview soon after, saying, “If I was starving and doing it really unhealthy, I would say that, of course, that’s not a good message. But I had a nutritionist, I had a trainer. I have never drunk more water in my life. I don’t see the criticism for other people when they lost weight for roles — they are [considered] geniuses for their craft.” She continued, “There are so many things out there that are so not accurate and not true.”
