Kim Kardashian Says She “Empathizes” With Meghan Markle

Kim Kardashian just gets Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

After being asked by an Australian outlet about her thoughts on the royal couple’s fight for privacy—the two are currently involved in multiple lawsuits against the British tabloids—Kardashian said she “can definitely empathize” with the couple.

“I don’t think anyone can really understand what that’s like except for them. But I think as I’m older and as I have kids, what I would want for them is just the safest place,” she explained. “I can definitely empathize with their need for having a secure, safe place and taking time for themselves and having privacy when they need it.”

Kardashian is just the latest high-profile name to speak out about the couple. Hillary Clinton came to their defense not once, but twice—most recently in an interview with BBC 5 radio. “Oh my God, I want to hug her!” Clinton said. “I want to tell her to hang in there. Don’t let those bad guys get you down.” The Secretary of State also visited the Duchess at her home of Frogmore Cottage, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed to ABC News. Although it’s understood Prince Harry was not there for the meeting, ABC News reports that Clinton did get to meet Baby Archie.

Currently, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are taking a break from royal duties, which is said to last around six months. What are they doing with their time off? Reports say they will visit Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland. That may be in her hometown of Los Angeles, where it is rumored the family will celebrate Thanksgiving. Buckingham Palace also confirmed the couple will also spend Christmas with Markle’s side of the family, rather than at the Queen’s Norfolk estate of Sandringham.
